forest frequencies
Sunday July 13th, 6:00-8:00pm
Join us beneath the bamboo for a two-hour evening of ritual, reflection, and sound.
We’ll begin with a barefoot grounding walk through the forest, followed by collective and personal card pulls to receive guidance. From there, we gather for a fire ritual to release what no longer serves—letting it rise with the smoke.
You’ll then prepare a small moon water jar to charge under the night sky, sealing your intentions with lunar light.
We’ll close in stillness with a full sound bath featuring crystal bowls, flute, drum, and chimes—bathing the body in healing vibration.
This is your invitation to reconnect with nature, with self, and with the sacred rhythm of the seasons.
Please bring a yoga mat and anything else you’ll need to feel comfortable outdoors. This workshop is held at our partner location in Morrow. Located a half a mile off the road you’ll be met with 70 different species of bamboo and a 7 acre lake surrounded by a forest. It’s magic and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Yoga and Yogic Philosophy immersion
with Guest Teacher Ben Kalra
November 22nd & 23rd 12:00-5:00pm
10 Hour Katonah Yoga & Yogic Philosophy Immersion
Join us for a 10 hour in-person training led by guest teacher Ben Kalra, where we’ll immerse into Katonah Yoga® and Classical Yoga Philosophy. This course is open to teachers and practitioners of all levels. We’ll dive into extended practices with breakdowns and adjustments, as well as modern approaches to ancient philosophical wisdom.
Many of us connect so deeply with Yoga because we know there’s something more. Yoga is not just movement, nor is it just philosophy. Yoga is the embodiment of theory through practice. We’ll look at the bigger picture – backbends open the frame for the lungs, forward bends create space for the kidneys, props offer scaffolding, adjustments offer new perspective, and our breath invites the imagination.
Expect to refine your practice, discover new approaches to familiar poses, and find joy through communal practice. We’ll break down alignment, transitions, techniques, and the reasons why we do what we do. We’ll gain insight and appreciation for Yoga’s roots through study of the sacred texts including the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita.
10 CEUs for teachers registered on Yoga Alliance
(5 hours bankable toward your Katonah Yoga® certification if moving towards that. )
Schedule:
Saturday 12:00 - 5:00pm: Katonah Yoga Workshops: Explore backbends, folds, twists, inversions, adjustments, and restorative postures through the lens of Katonah Yoga. We’ll learn how to use props in creative ways, adjustments to help the body function, and breath to invite in the imagination. The Katonah practice is about reforming and reorganizing ourselves using pattern, geometry, and metaphor. This will be an interactive and hands-on workshop, perfect for yoga teachers or passionate students.
Sunday 12:00 - 5:00pm: Yoga Philosophy Deep Dive: Step into the world of Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras through a meditative practice inspired by the 8 limbed path, followed by a presentation and discussion. We’ll learn how the ancient philosophical wisdom of Yoga can help us find spiritual fulfillment in the modern world. As time allows, we’ll also explore the Bhagavad Gita to illustrate the key spiritual ideas of devotion, non-attachment, and selfless service.

KATONAH YOGA® is a syncretic Hatha yoga practice developed by Nevine Michaan of Katonah Yoga® Center over 40 years. She and her teachers incorporate classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor, and imagination — in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Katonah Yoga is organized around three principles of esoteric dialogue: all polarities are mediated by trinity; intelligence is found in pattern; and repetition leads to insight.
